Coucou! My name is Júlia and I am a French, English, and Spanish teacher for foreigners here at DenglishLab.
Although my passion for languages came a little later, it was a life-changing discovery. I realized the importance of being able to communicate with people outside of Spain, and suddenly, learning languages became a fascinating adventure. I started with English and soon after delved into learning French, which became one of my great passions. My connection with French was further strengthened during my stay in France with the Erasmus+ program, an experience that marked a before and after in my academic and personal journey.
After graduating in Translation and Interpreting, I decided to take another step and specialize in teaching, pursuing a Master’s in Spanish as a Foreign Language. Teaching came almost by surprise when I started working at an English academy. I never would have imagined that we would connect so much, but from day one I knew that teaching languages was my path.
I have experience with children, teenagers, and adults, and I have worked from first words and basic vocabulary to advanced content and complex structures. My classes are characterized by being dynamic, participatory, and fun, because I firmly believe that learning a language should not be a boring process.
Furthermore, I place a lot of importance on grammar and syntax, but always with practical, clear, and effective methods that help the student understand and apply knowledge naturally in real contexts.
Watching my students grow in confidence and independence with each session is incredibly rewarding—it’s what makes this profession so fulfilling. Often, the most confusing moments arise when a familiar-looking word has an entirely different meaning. Take the word pain, for example; I’m not talking about stepping on a LEGO here! Did you know that in French, pain simply means “bread”? If your mind immediately went to a medical emergency instead of a delicious baguette, then perhaps it’s time to learn French with us!
